I know the height and have everything ready to go...my only question is how to physically mount it to the ceiling...what hardware to use okay, where the light will currently line up, one side of it will go into the stud/joist, but the other side currently goes into the drywall. I do not have an attic (houses in vegas don't like them for some reason) and I cannot get into the attic to assist. Knowing that, on the side where it is mounted on the drywall, how would you mount it?

30'X15': So long and skinny. Floors are light hardwood, pool table is dark stained, room is white right now and there is a west facing plate glass window. Not sure what color would help bring out the hardwood floors and table the best, everything else in the room can be changed. Also thinking about doing crown molding, any suggestions?

I need to ship a box 51x33x17 inches to The Neatherlands from Canada and am getting quotes from DHL, FedEx and UPS for $600+. At present I'm thinking of having it shipped from the US via FedEx for $440 but I'd like to ship it from Canada and I don't mind if it goes by boat. Any suggestions for who might offer this type of service?

Sparky, I love that idea. I will do all you have said but to make it more decorative I am wondering if I cut out the sides of the wooden pieces to make framed openings then get some plexaglass and maybe simulate stained glass? with paint or decals or something. thanks for any and all suggestions!

I am hanging lights above my pool table, and I am not sure how low they should hang from the table. Any suggestions? Or is there a regulation height from the table to the light?

its length is 46" and 12" high and hangs with gold chains..excellent condition and very beautiful..i know there a rare find.

My dad told me that lights above a snooker or pool table have a certain way they should be set. According to him, when the lights are set properly, you should be able to aim your shot by using the reflection of the light on the ball. He said that my grandfather, who used to run a pool and snooker hall, knew how to set them correctly before his memory started to fade.
