Making a spinning pool/billiard table?
I'm going to make a spinning pool table for my major work in year 12. I have a few questions to ask just before I go ahead with the design.
Firstly, are there any other lighter bases I could use that wouldn't warp, preferable possible order to size.
Secondly, What material should I use as an axel. I was thinking a steel rod attached to the inner playing area and base which will spin on 2 holes on the frame.
And finally, What are some nice strong hardwoods that wont bend or break that I can use for the frame, I will either have to add metal bars to support the frame or get some sort of REALLY strong wood because im expecting the inside part to weight up to 400-500KG.
Anything you can help with is much appreciated
